The Red Turtle
After the shipwreck, the man nails on a deserted tropical island, inhabited only by turtles, crabs and birds. Trying to escape from the ill-fated island on the raft, the hero suddenly encounters a huge red turtle, which stops all his attempts to escape. However, gradually a man becomes attached to the essence. In the end, he takes his fate and learns to survive alone on the island, until one day the red turtle mysteriously turns into a woman. The couple goes through life milestones surrounded by crabs, insects and an endless ocean. The debut full-length animated film by the outstanding French animator Michael Dudock de Vita "The Red Turtle" was created jointly with the famous Ghibli studio Hayao Miyazaki, responsible for the appearance of the main masterpieces of Japanese animation. "Red Turtle" is a visually stunning and emotionally complex film about loneliness, in which there is not a single replica.
